How We Prepare Certification Guides

Each guide starts from a real search question or a question we commonly hear from clients, then answers it directly, drawing on the RASOO certification consulting team's practical experience — not by summarizing another website's article.

Source Priority

When a page references an external fact, we prioritize sources in this order:

• ISO's own publications (iso.org)
• The International Accreditation Forum (IAF, iaf.nu)
• National accreditation bodies
• Official certification body guidance

We do not cite low-quality SEO blogs, AI-generated articles, or unsourced marketing content as authority for a factual claim.

Practical Experience

Where a page includes a "Practical Consultant Note" or similar, it reflects general patterns the RASOO team has observed in certification preparation work — phrased as observations, not as unverifiable statistics. We do not invent percentages, case counts, or failure rates we cannot support.

Standards Copyright

ISO 9001's text is ISO's copyrighted material. Our guides summarize, interpret, and explain in our own words — they do not reproduce clause text or substantial portions of the standard. Readers who need the authoritative text should purchase or access it directly from ISO.

Update Policy

Pages are updated when there's a real reason to: a standard change, a factual correction, a clarified explanation, or new practical guidance worth adding. We do not run automated processes that rewrite "Last reviewed" dates without an actual content change — see our Editorial Policy.

Corrections

If an error is identified — in a date, a technical description, or a fact — we correct it and note the real review date. We do not leave known inaccuracies in place.
